2008-2011 Triennial Theme
"The LORD God fashioned into a woman the rib which He had taken from the man, and brought her to the man. " Genesis 2:22 NASB

Elegant wedding receptions, catered dinners, and quaint afternoon teas are events that take place in the historic Bloodworth House in Poplar Bluff, Missouri. The stone edifice, however, also echoes of dreams created in a little girl's mind many years ago as she designed her make-believe world. That little girl, Linda Bloodworth Thomason, eventually fulfilled those dreams when she created and produced Designing Women, a television sitcom that ran for almost seven years. The show was based on a fashion-concious interior design business in Atlanta, Georgia, but the television audience never saw the four Southern belles actually design or create the things about which they spoke.
God's design for us is to simply be more like Him. Spending time alone with God, feeding on His Word, listening to His voice, and submitting to His call in obedience will provide us with the tools and characteristics to be the women God has designed us to become.
Women Designed by God, which is the first year of a new triennial theme, is created to help the Christian woman experience the next level in her spiritual development, moving beyond just talking about spiritual things to actually realizing the closer walk with God. Regardless of where we are in our faith journeys, we must be willling for God to transform us as we seek His likeness.
